Jessica O’Keefe was born in St. Louis, Missouri, grew up in Southern California and has family across the South.While attending college, Jessica worked at Lightstorm Entertainment in Development on projects such as Avatar, Solaris and Battle Angel Alita. She graduated from UCLA with degrees in Women's Studies and LGBT Studies. She and her husband, Ken O'Keefe, founded their small multi-media company Breatheasy Productions in 2009 to create memorable media adventures that initiate social change. Breatheasy Productions is now home to diverse commodities, including film and video productions, social media marketing and advertising, commissioned artwork and fiction and non-fiction publications. Jessica directed a promotional short film for Jane Love, which has gone on to garner award recognition at regional film festivals. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her family, where she continues to direct and produce while developing feature specs and Jane Love for both the big and small screen.
Ken O’Keefe, Co-founder of Breatheasy Productions alongside his wife and filmmaker Jessica O’Keefe, Ken is a Los Angeles based feature film editor and producer. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Ken attended film school at the University of Notre Dame, then went on to establish himself as an editor through his work on The Bourne Identity, The Heat, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Spy, The Big Short, Ghostbusters, Snatched and Flarsky. Ken’s professional collaborations have led him to work with some of the best in the business, including Oscar-winning editor Tom McArdle, Oscar-winning director Adam McKay, and directors Paul Feig and Jonathan Levine. A father of two, Ken continues to grow his roster of editorial work on major motion pictures while producing projects through his company.
